Steak don’t do it bud. I feel like we are on the same page on this band and I wouldn’t recommend it. I went in hoping it was good with all the high ratings but was disappointed. It’s cool they’re doing their own thing and experimenting, but definitely not something I’ll ever return to. One listen was more than enough.

This album was an interesting experience.



Bloodlines was enjoyable from the start. Talking Heads had to grow on me but I wouldn't call it a great Northlane song. Then they released Eclipse which sucks and I have super low expectations for this record. Then upon hearing it in full it sounded fresh, well thought out and a great example of evolution without drastically changing a core sound.

Eclipse is still the worst song on it but everything else goes hard. 4D, Freefall and Sleepless are early standouts.
