I liked this. Although each track have fairly one riff, the vibe and atmo are awesome and somewhat original (?). For sure they teach Baroness a lesson how to produce a sludge album.

Disagree...This kind of fuzzyness (its ok if you don't want to call it sludge) require to be this thick. In that department this is more than listenable, its actually pleasant.

Agreed. Inclined to a 3.5. But will relisten. There's a certain grungy and postpunk appeal here in some songs. All my 3.5's are potential 4s lol

My only issue here on first listen is the one riff per song thing, but will dig further before I rate it.

Admission is one of the best ones here...certainly different from the rest of the album...almost tunes from bands like Interpol etc (post The Cure etc). Also dig the slight change on What Was to make almost a single chorus...its a petty they don't gamble more on these slight changes X
