Isshin The Sword Saint takes this game down an entire letter grade. Most bs fight Fromsoft has ever done, even worse than Laurence The First Vicar.

I finally beat the final boss. Honestly, I have nothing nice to say about it. It was a bs fight and I'm glad to be done with it. Every boss in the game was challenging but pretty damn fun, but the final boss on the 'good' playthrough just feels like all the things I hate about Fromsoft's worst bosses stuffed into one tedious package. I'm relieved to know that on my next playthrough I won't have to endure that nonsense again.

yeah that's the impression i've been getting watching people do it. i'm not even sure when i do a second run i'll bother with that ending. it doesn't look fun at all - just hard for the sake of it.

Honestly that ending is worth it for Fountainhead Palace alone, which is the best level Fromsoft has ever made, but yeah the final fight is ass.

haha maybe i'll just skip the final boss then. i love FROM but their git gud, 2hard4u bosses that are more about busting your balls than providing a fun challenge are total bullshit.

So I've missed dialogue options to get another ending involving the snakes hearts

I think those dialogue options are always there, if you haven't killed the snake at least

To be fair you have to do a somewhat out of the way side mission to do it

I'll do it on ng+ but what exactly you need to do?

I have no idea, I'm trying to figure out everything by myself. I have no idea what to do with the snake hearts, as well as another secret item I've found.

I just know on NG+ I'm gonna let the snake live so I can marry it. I wanna be snake bride.

If anything I'm jealous of you because you have so much more game to go. The first playthrough of these games are the most special. Not knowing what to do, figuring out secrets, brainstorming lore with friends, it's magical. Once I beat this and start looking up the things I missed the initial playthrough blind magic will be gone a bit.

Just arrived at the final area: first boss = WOW, perhaps my favourite boss so far. Really fun, dynamic fight.

Second boss in that area is a gimmick fight done right .

The corrupted monk was pretty fun but you can actually skip the first 2 phases entirely, and the third phase was the easiest one imo.

First thing I did when I entered Fountainhead proper was take a screenshot and make it my PS4 background

I didnt know you could skip the first phase but I skipped the second phase every time with the lunge. It was a pretty easy fight but really fun.
