I should probably 5 this. I just wanted a way to mark that TPE is a little better.

They're both pretty perfect tbh. 2 hard 5s, one is more proggy, one is more concise

You're writing that in the wrong thread Omair ;) Let me just say that there's a reason the band dedicated a special edition/remix to this album years down the line.

so far I only knew The Perfect Element and it's on rank 8 in my top metal albums list.

Over the years I liked it more and more, now I love almost all songs.

Listened to Remedy Lane for the first time and I can't wait to listen to it next time.

Well I just had some time to listen to the re-release, I don't mind the production and the disc sounds way more metal than I remembered, and they tuned up keyboards as well as I hardly rememeber them being so 'forefront' on some bits

As per the disc, although I may not enjoy that much anymore the excessive progginess on some bits, tracks like Fandango, Undertow, Chain Sling and the monumental Beyond the Pale still make this a true standout.

TL;DR I still love the disc despite being roughly. . . .14 years since I heard it the first time, the right soundtrack to a f'd up adolescence

Yeah this is pretty close to perfect. I don't listen to it often but when I do it's glorious.

yes this album is getting better and better, same with The Perfect Element which is maybe still my favourite, but I only have those 2 albums. But what a really amazing band.

Favourite songs so far:

1. Fandango

2. Waking Every God (yes I am loving the atmosphere)

2. Beyond The Pale

4. A Trace Of Blood

5. Chain Sling

6. Ending Theme

7. Undertow

8. Rope Ends

9. This Heart Of Mine

10. Dryad Of The Woods

I could isten to that chorus for ever. How these two melodies complement eachother is absolutely beutiful. The song is sad and dark as fuck tho

Yeah man, the way they layer the keyboards and guitars, and have intelligent interplay is so good. Very few bands do it so naturally.

Daniel loves exploring dark and uncomfortable themes, and I love it. It fits the music really well. In The Flesh being the perfect example.
