I can't believe the consensus on this site is that TLI is better than TRM. I mean, it's really a tossup for me, tho I think TRM is slightly more solid throughout simply because of the runtime. I hope this matches up in a way.

Ride Majestic is slightly better for me too, I like songwriting a little more on that one. They're both 4.5s for me though. And among top releases by Soilwork

TLI gets a boost for being a double album that somehow never feels boring

honestly I can't tell the difference. I'd say he's the right replacement.

might just be stylistic choice for this record but it seems like dirk had more interesting patterns and fills, especially on the last 2 records

Also this is growing on me but I won't admit it cause I have a reputation to maintain.
Oh...

Good album, my only qualm is that the production is too crusty, not enough low end

I think TRM is a bit more monotonous in terms of songwriting than TLI and isn't as well produced. It has some bangers but it doesn't feel as fresh or as well paced
both are good though and I like the added extremity that TRM has at times (Alight in the Aftermath esp.)
honestly i can talk all day about why i prefer TLI and why i love it so much but they're both sick obviously
anyway I think this album kinda seems to struggle in getting to its best parts. imo the best track is probably When the Universe Spoke and it's in the middle surrounded by pretty bland tracks.
