If not the best, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is easily their rawest, and considering how little money went into that album AND the fact that the drums were all done in one take, it's their most impressive on that front alone. Also has a bit of a Zao feel, which is nice.

Dear God is the only song on the S/T I can say is "bad." On here, it's very difficult to deal with the singles, and the songs Betrayed and Blinded In Chains are pretty average for their length.

It threw me off at first, like "WTF? WHAT IS THAT DOING HERE?" But then after repeated listens I ended up really ending up loving how weird it was.

Basically what it all comes down to is this album is just very boring and sometimes annoying (but I will forever fuck with bat country and beast and the harlot) and s/t is just a fever dream with some really surprising highs (a little piece of heaven, critical acclaim)
