yeah, I remember seeing them like 4 years ago and he gave this awful rallying speech about his high school counselor asked what he was gonna do with his life and he told her "I'm gonna be the voice of a GENERATION!" *drops mic*
like holy shit dude, first of all that never happened, and second, get off your fucking high horse

Of course, you'd take that from one of the worst songs on the album. I didn't say they were all winners. ;-)
And fwiw I don't think I could pull off a rallying cry any better.

my comment wasn't serious at all
it's amazing how asinine that "story" is and that this dude thinks he is the voice of a generation

Yeah because Matty will be remembered along with the likes of The Beatles or Led Zeppelin one day lol

LMAO right. Regardless of that, a 1 is far too extreme for an album like this. I'd honestly say that a 1.5-2 is about as low as this deserves, a 1 puts it in the same category as something like Brokencyde and this shits all over that.

Why are you so hung up over people's album ratings?
It's not like it has any affect on you.

But whatever. I'm always going to be more generous than most when it comes to lower ratings.
|

a 1 is perfectly justifiable for this album
and also, what Kenbo said

I'm saying you people are fucking overreacting, calling an album a 1 is literally putting it in the discussion for Worst Album of All Time lmfao. I'm just glad none of y'all went to the mods crying because you couldn't 0.5 it.

Not really, the worst thing this is capable of being is bland and pretentious, nothing unlistenable.
|
| |
this is one of the worst albums I've ever heard, so...
also, seems like you're the one overreacting crying about bad ratings for a garbage album

Did we somehow get two different rips of the same album? It's still a better album than anything Skillet's done since Comatose, and a 1.5 is about as low as I'm willing to give them.
And I guess if disputing the blind hate-wave based on something that's not even unlistenable is overreacting, then guilty as charged.

Oh to be young and claim other people are overreacting when really you're the one who is.
Yeah, agreed with calmrose this is one of the worst albums I've ever heard. It was so hard to sit and listen to.

They're not particularly great, but yeah I'd say Comatose and Collide are pretty good albums. The only thing those are guilty of is being derivative. But I guess you have a tough time listening to anything less profound than The Devil & God, so it's whatever I guess.

I like music that isn't profound, but this album isn't even any fun or entertaining to listen to.

I'm getting really defensive again, am I? Goddamnit. This isn't even a breakthrough album for my taste like Erase Me was, lmfao.
I get it not being fun but idk, I guess if an album wasn't fun or interesting, I'd probably drop it in my 2.5's or even 2's if it didn't piss me off.
