they evolved from an awesome mix of 'Pelican/post-rock'-influenced blackened sludge/doom metal to the Master Ball of 'Pelican/post-rock/grunge/drone'-influenced blackened sludge/doom metal

'Just saw them play the Magus album release w/Uniform'

How is Uniform? I've only heard their Body collab and wasn't feeling it.

I’d say your mileage may vary w/Uniform depending on how you like your industrial metal. I checked out that same album and sorted of went in one ear and out the other for me, but I bought their newest album The Long Walk on a whim and ended up really enjoying it a lot.

It’s probably worth mentioning that they were featured in Twin Peaks: The Return, with two tracks from their previous album Wake In Fright appearing in the show (but not on the actual soundtrack nor during the Roadhouse segments).

So which artwork is the actual one? Because on Spotify it's of two girls with really washed out colors, and I gotta say I think I prefer that one

Anyways, this rips, might be their best yet.

I would say the other is the official one. Thou has a very similar line of covers for all the digital versions of their albums for whatever reason. They've reissued albums w/ new covers a fair amount as well.

This kinda reminds me of early All the Empires of the World. Does anyone else get that vibe at all?

The one with the girls is the album art for the physical version but like Spluger said, the official/canon artwork is the one on the band’s Bandcamp page. All the artwork on the physical versions of their discography are different from one another. Peasant for example has been reissued on vinyl/CD many times on different labels through the years. None of which IIRC had the same artwork between labels reissuing them.

weird, do they not have the rights to publish the canonical ones or something?

I'm pretty sure it's an aesthetic thing cuz they haven't had two covers until around Heathen/Algiers was released and went back to give Summit another one

edit: nope i’m mistaken
