Not even going to deny lol. Sometimes in one ear out the other simply because I have an endless list of music to catch up on plus I'm always on the hunt for the latest thing. Combine that with little free time and you get Sowing.

The first three minutes of Donnie Darko definitely melodically crib off the solo from Yo La Tengo’s ‘We’re an American Band - but that’s YLT’s best ever track so all good

Definitely heard the Sophie-inspired music in the second track. My first thought was that this was CHVRCHES with Lorde on vocals. CHVRCHES isn't this creative though-- not anymore, anyway.

oh dammit now I want to go to that chvrches tour. wasn't planning on going because I don't exactly feel like hearing most of their new stuff live, but the opening act makes it worth it tbh

I keep seeing this everywhere but the group name is retarded. But it sounds like something I’d like so I’ll add it to my list.

I thought the band name was a reference to this old grammar lesson they'd teach kids to help them use commas properly:

Let's eat Grandma.

Let's eat, Grandma.

Commas. They save lives.

Anyways, I could be wrong. "Cool & Collected" has quickly climbed up to my fave off this. The airy classic rock vibe in that song is nuts. There's no way two 17 year old girls are writing this.

It is. I've read that same explanation from multiple sources over the years and the band confirmed it in an interview.

They were about 6 and a half years old when they formed the band so that also might explain why they were so enamoured with the name, eh

how many albums have at least 80 ratings, zero 5s, yet still manage to hold a 3.8 average? impressive.
