Seems like they were having an identity crisis. The fans wanted more heavy techy jams and the band wanted to do softer material.

Calling bullshit on that, the album is heavy as fuck. Extremely melodic as well, but heavy as fuck. I seriously doubt they called quits over reception to this album, its been positive almost across the board. I'm guessing it's financial issues, they've been around for over 6 years and they only just recently released their first album.
RIP, not my fave band by any means but I respect what they did. They've had some serious bangers over the years, and those sugary-sweet cleans usually annoy me but they pulled it off pretty well.

It's probably a combination of both things mentioned. The band was never that popular, so they weren't reeling in money. People also generally liked Lumiere more than Eve as well.

Who have they toured with? I've never seen them live. Though they've never been very prolific I'd be surprised if they haven't opened for some big acts.

That, I have no idea. I've just been hoping that they would come down to Ohio one of these days, even if they were just opening for someone. But RIP the dream

That Time, the Valuator album was surprisingly solid. They sound more like Novelists, though. I wish they screamed more.

This is a borderline classic progressive metal core album. I just can't understand some people's opinions on here sometimes...

You don't even have either Novelists album rated. You don't know what a borderline classic progressive metalcore album sounds like.

Novelists were cool back when they were just releasing random singles all the time, once they started doing full releases they fell off really hard for me, especially the last album.

They've only gotten better with time for me, and I adore both of their albums

I feel the same way but with The Afterimage. They were at their best when they were releasing singles
