[2] uuuh..."The truth drops like a bomb!"...in fact that track (Absolute Power) hit me somehow in the middle of the shit, but in the cheesiest way possible, along with Wishing Wells X) hopefully I don't touch this again

1.5 makes sense. I wanted to like this one but it's pretty bad. Wishing Wells, Shadowboxing, and I Hope You Rot are decent but the rest kinda blows. Some groups just can't venture too far out of their comfort zone without sounding a bit cringey. Most of the choruses have a punchline that feels uninspired.

Chronos is by far the best song on the album for me.

This isn't as bad as I expected initially. First time actually listening to this band and I'm aware it might not be the best starting point but I have no intention of listening to older metalcore so f--- it. Anyway, it does sound like they want to join the ranks of FFDP with their own kind of simplified heavy metal, more grandiose and ambitious than anything that band put out but still not very good. Parkway Drive are at least entertaining enough for a listen or two, unlike FFDP. I really dig Cemetery Bloom, Shadow Boxing and The Colour of Leaving, but that's mostly it. Other songs do have their moments but they tend to become boring by the 2 or 3-minute mark. Nothing here is offensively bad so at least it's got that going for it.

You're doing yourself a real disservice by not listening to their older albums

Kinda sad to think the band has been on a downward spiral after Horizons

Steak two years ago I woulda jumped on the older albums but rn I'm jammin more of the calmer prog metal of the Tesseract mould. Metalcore doesn't do much for me lately

Fair enough Krpa, someday you really should go back and listen to KWAS and Horizons at least

First comment here and...oh god nope.

I truly enjoy metalcore but this album is really bad in my opinion. Chronos was good tho.

Also, Shadow Boxing is the worst song they have ever created. Ever. It's modern In Heart's Wake bad. Fuck it's bad.
