I shared with girlfriend White Lighters and we both liked the song a lot...something that was really hard with ETID (except Map Change but not as much as this one for her) lolololol

@DDDeftoneDDD Esoteric Malacology is so much fun so good choice. Spectral Burrows & Putrid Fairytale m/
Tho on topic White Lighters does its job really well to break up the halves well & it's a nice wee tune to boot. Probably sitting about the middle if I have to rank the songs

Will definitely check that out, Mars.
I'm glad that Ground appreciates Ten Dogs because I love the aesthetic off of that song. I mean I love the whole album through and through, but that song has such a grungy aesthetic at parts and I'm a fucking sucker for anything grungy.

Hey. tks there connor. Its a bit early in the year but they sure are contenders. I'm pretty happy with the first 4 on 2018 charts so far. They're all great experiences.
I'd put this one neck to neck with Rolo Tomassi to and Rivers of Nihil with Slugdge, within each genre.

"but that song has such a grungy aesthetic at parts and I'm a fucking sucker for anything grungy"
oooh and so am i! that phrase itself is gonna make me check that one again right away
Edit: What an awesome track!! A lot in the tone of Poison the Well's last release - you should check it if you like this metal grunge feeling. but this rocks dude!

Am I the only one loving Broadcast Network and especially the sick second riff there?
Also the vocal style reminds me a little bit of Letlive's Fake History (in addition to ETID, TDEP among others, it's a good mix).
PS: Thanks for the review and hyping this. Otherwise I wouldn't have found this gem.

No problem, Eclipse. Every song on this album is killer. Those twangy riffs are part of what makes Broadcast Network so fun. Definitely my aoty early contender by leaps and bounds (sorry Rolo Tomassi)
Also, props for your favorite bands. You have good taste dude.

ahahah that's cool Tranqyl. This is more of my type when opposing to Rolo T, but they are somehow more original in what they do(?). I'm holding myself to affirm that right away and there's so many awesome metal albums this year. Those 2 are for sure in my top 5 for now.

"White Lighters" has my favorite lyrics tbh, they resonate pretty hard.
ofc that's through my subjective interpretation lol
