Yeah if they can’t tell the difference between generic scenecore & the craft on display here there’s no helping them. Of course it’s likely just bait as someone already pointed out.

I will definitely be going see these guys in April now, not even a doubt in my mind.

Only thing I'm left wondering after this record, is where the fuck do they go from here?

I'd like to see them explore more of the post rock sound they flirt with on some of these tracks.

They’ll probably go full on ‘pop’

The only remaining evolution the band can take at this point is to purge the world of all life and resurrect the ancient gods, in other words, go full on pop.

3.8 is positively conservative by this thread's standards, agreed

I’m holding off on giving it a 4 (heard it through twice, plus odd bits & pieces) so I can potentially give it more. Definitely leaning 4/4.5 at the minute.

Ok, so I enjoyed it about as much on second listen, so it wasn’t just a fluke. Looking like this could end up a 4....

What is happening to me???

It’s bringing Sput together, an album for the people. I’m not looking forward to this taking a nose-dive when the edgelords show up, or the people who just look at the stratospheric average, listen once & dismiss it immediately.

I mean, I normally would be one of the edgelords so that could end up not happening this time around.

Drumming on the whole thing mmm

beginning of Balancing in the Dark is straight jazz

I'm in love with this album.
