inb4 "@SomeGuy: Not a joke review, dude. Did you actually read it? You should check the album, it's my favorite of the year"

This isn't a joke review, although it's quite amusing (if a little tragic) that you think it is... I can only assume you're simply judging this by the rating. The guy just really likes this album. Also, there's another review, a negative one, so read that instead if you disagree.

Nah, I know it's not. I may not agree with Snide's ratings a lot of the time, but he backs them up with his own reasoning, for the most part.

I'd want to agree with Snide on this and love the record, but this is really bland. This is bad for AA's standard, seeing as I liked the records with Danny before.
|
| |
That was a reply to Someguy, not you Dino.
|
| |
Album and band are both awful and snide's tastes continue to baffle me. I guess the worst aspects of every genre have to appeal to someone.
|

I actually really like Stand Up and Scream & Reckless and Relentless, but from the song I've heard, this is gonna be hot garbage.
songs like “Eve” showcase Danny’s matured screams in a way similar to Austin Carlile’s harsher growls in the deluxe version of Of Mice and Men’s ‘The Flood’ but, here they’re a good deal deeper and less throaty.
Why even make the comparison when the next thing you do is comment on how different it sounds.

Lol you can always count on a review from this guy to reach 8+ pages within a few hours, no matter how popular/unpopular the album is.
edit: Ah, I see the convo switched to the pokimans, no wonder haha
|
| |
Pokemons is serious business. I was following the conversation (sort of) & then it went all competitive battling/tiers on me & I got confused.
|
| |
Yeah, to be fair, most of the discussion on this one is about the Pokemans as opposed to the album, haha.
|
| |
Pokemanz is serious shit
Also sorry you got so many downvotes just cause you 5'd this, feelsbadman

I haven't played since Gen 2. I'd love to try and get caught up, but... that would involve spending money I don't have. The last handheld I had was a GBC
|
| |
I saw 8 pages, then clicked at the halfway page to see what was up, and then added the edit to my comment lol
I actually just started a new game of Crystal via emulator, and it's a lot of fun. Playing for the first time without cheats either lmao
|
| |
I've never cheated at a pokemon game, unless you count speeding up battles to make level grinding less of a slog.
|
| |
I can't begin to imagine how many times I've played the 1st & 2nd gen (inc. the 2nd gen remakes on DS). Hundreds of hours 'wasted'.
Edit: I did some of the old school cheats like the 'missing no.' duplicate items thing.

AAAANDDD back to the pokemon thread...
|
| |
The missing no. thing is a classic, I felt like such a hacker when I pulled it off on an actual Gameboy. And yeah, speed boosting is crucial.
My cheating includes infinite money, infinite master balls, you know the good shit.
|
| |
I did the infinite master ball thing using that trick yeah, unfortunately that was no good in the safari zone when you were unsuccessfully throwing rocks at a Kangaskhan.
|
| |
Dude, I always hated the Safari Zone. I never had the patience for that shit.
|
| |
I didn't use Safari zone often either. It could be rewarding but it feels like 9/10 times it's not worth it.
