This album gets it so right yet so wrong at the same time....There are absolutely amazing tracks in between arguably outright cringe-worthy train wrecks. I still don't know what to rate this...Also I feel like so much of this feels forced, especially the intro to the album - I can't take it seriously.

Good review, decent jam.
|
| |
prolly their 2nd or 3rd best imo
yeah there are some cheesy moments but at least this one stands for something, unlike their last few lifeless albums
|
| |
4.2 for an album by this always-been-crappy, completely washed up band???
|
| |
fuck outta here with the "always been crappy". if it wasn't for you then it wasn't for you, but S/T was fucking incredible.

LaughingSkull has impeccable taste. We're lucky he's decided to come back.

just saw them live last night with glassjaw both of them fucking killed
wasn't too huge into the songs they played from this (idk why over and over again and rise up lights are the songs theyre pushing from this) but everything translated really well and bert had such a great stage presence. it was a weirdly positive show too

Sorry didnt get to see ya bubs, me and my gf got there late just to for the used's set cause she wasn't feeling good but the show was pretty sweet. Bert was definitely feeling the vocal strain hardcore though. The dude was spraying his throat between like every song with what I'd imagine was something to help his throat. However, got to meet him later and my gf knows him fairly well so he was super friendly and chill to talk to.

damn, oh well rip but yeah he was man. He unexpectedly hugged me after we were done chatting with him and he was refreshingly more positive than the last time I saw him in person, but probs cause my gf knew him well.

he was super super positive onstage. I remember like every song he would talk about how greatful he was to be there and stuff

Album Rating: 3.5
Truth, but honestly that's his usual stage presence as of lately my gf told me since he's been sober he's a much nicer person but she's met him mannnny times and once in the past he spit in her camera (mind you they knew each other fairly well cause she's been doing their photos for years) so yeah he's really come around lately since maintaining sobriety.

I also saw them last Friday and also got to meet them. Can confirm that they give hugs; they're all super chill.
I've never been a fan of their older stuff tbh (the first two albums dominated the setlist), but they did play The Nexus toward the end and that slayed hard.

One of the songs, 'Over and Over Again' came up on my Apple Music Spotify Discover and I was pleasantly surprised. I'll check this out
Great review btw!

hey thanks condish. yeah when that song dropped as a single I wearily played it thinking 'here we fucking go' and it turned out to be their best song since like, ILAD for me
music video is incredible too

music video's a trip lol

I went from "this is the worst thing I've ever seen wtf" to "this is greatest piece of art I will ever witness at 3am" as soon as the banjo breakdown part came in
|
| |
I don't get the hate for "over and over again" I think it's pretty good and the instrumental interlude is surprisingly good and different from them

if you're only a fan of the self titled, you probably won't like this any better than their others ones [12454356788009876543]
