Decided to just stuff it and buy the sucker. I like pretty much every song from Losing Control onwards at this point. Thier best effort in my eyes.

Wait you think this is better than Innocence & Instinct?

Innocence and Instinct is a hard 5

I do. Instead of trying to be this epic, super dramatic rock band they threw it all away, let themselves go, and just embraced the utter cheesiness of their music and image. I mean, just look at that cover. Gone (the song) has an all-out EDM sample and the others have their own electronic flourishes, they covered a Sia song, and the whole record has a bombastic approach that is far more enjoyable to hear because, unlike everything before it, it isn't taking itself too seriously.

Idk, but I'm with you on I&I not being their best....

still can’t get into this
RED is still my favorite band, but this is their worst imo

Hahahaha oh man, imo, this is their best. OBAR is not too far behind it. This fully embraces the adolescent cheese and dramatic sci-fi elements of their sound and I love it for that. Finally got around to hearing the bonus tracks as well which played into the bump.

I will admit, songs like Losing Control, AI. and the Mask Slips Away are some of their best, but this album didn’t do it for me as a whole
I need to listen to it again and probably bump it up .5, but I’m still holding onto I&I as their best. Of course, that’s bias because that’s the fundamental album that got me into all of the music I listen to today, so it was a very important album early on in my 8 year old life

Agent, you need to. Like I said, I think it’s their best since it just had the best blend of hard rock and orchestration throughout. Basically, to understand why I think it’s their best, just read my review (shameless plug)

But seriously, I cannot fault anyone for not liking this one. My first rating was a 2.5 I believe. But I gave it another chance and started to understand what they were trying to achieve and everything fell into place for me.

@tyman: I'll have to go through all their albums someday, for some reason I have End of Silence below this AND Release the Panic lmao

I and I and EoS were the starting point of the band for me... Release the Panic REALLY dissapointed, and OBaR was a nice return to form with some heavier stuff. This was kinda decent but it feels disjointed to me

I was mistaken, this album is actually pretty great. Guess I didn’t really give it the time of day?? Other than the lacking Gone to Unstoppable stretch, every song here is pretty solid. I hope they’ll expand on the sound of songs like Fracture, Losing Control, and AI

new song is really good, better than anything off of this

"New song is really good, just as good as anything off of this" just fixed a small typo.

agree to disagree, this new song is a return to form, the way they should’ve gone following OBAR
not that anything is bad here, the new song is just much more RED than anything off of Gone

Nah, just jokin around man the new song is a great return to form. I'm glad they aren't making another one of this (so far).
