If I haven't enjoyed the last 2 (not bad, just...eh for me I guess), is this really worth checking?

I doubt this is really going to bring anything new or different to the table

Yeah their last two are two of their best, so definitely avoid this if you didn't like those

I find this to be thoroughly entertaining despite the band relying on the same formula as before.

their past couple of albums is like a slightly better version of the last one to me, granted I did enjoy FIFAP a wee bit more.

Rescue and Restore was awesome. Beauty In Tragedy is probably my fave ABR song.

I mean don't get me wrong, they're still incredibly proficient musicians who write some good riffs and have great production quality, so they're still as listenable as ever... You're just not getting anything you haven't already gotten.

This is way too long and blends together easily, I couldn't tell some songs apart from others. However I did still enjoy the album as a whole, just not as much this time around

This is ok. I have the feeling they could have been singing reading a Kellogs box and it wouldn't affect the album much.

"Idk about that, Constellations and R&R are still top shelf metalcore, but the genre's line between amazing and mediocre is frighteningly thin tbh."

Leveler is underrated HARD. It's like TBDM's Deflorate. Not sure why it has this drastically lower rating than the others when it's business as usual.

Idk, I think Leveler has a lot of songs that are just meh. They tried some stuff that just didn't work for me, and a lot of other people too I guess.

The title track fucking slays though.

Leveler has some killer songs, "Cutting The Ties" is top 5 ABR, the opener and "Internal Cannon" are really good, same with "Carpe Diem" and "40 Nights".....ok so the first 7 songs are great. The last half just really drags on for me, like more so than usual for some reason.

That said I'm about to go bump that shit cause yeah Cutting The Ties is a .5 in itself

Leveller rules hard agreed. It's underrated as hell but it's sandwiched between two records that overshadow it. Cutting The Ties, Poor Millionaire, Boys Of Fall and T/T completely slay. First half is quite good too.
