Worst piece of news i've read this entire month.

Brutal. But in the grand scheme of things, they'd pretty much fully expanded their sound by this point. Where were they gonna go next? Straight pop/electronic? Obviously not but that's where they were headed if they kept going based on this album.
I'm so sad to hear this but I'm super happy for them and applaud them for making this decision.

It just seems like this was the period where they could have made their best stuff and expanded into a bigger band. They sound better live than they ever have

This shit really made my day worse once ive seen the news. For fucks sake, I'll miss them a lot. One of my fav bands out there.
On the other hand I fully understand the decision. They want to earn money and music is not allowing them to do that, and also takes a lot of time that could be spent in more moneymaking ways.
"Let's build a house, but I don't know how. Let's make it something..."
They'll be remembered

They didn't seem like they wanted to make money. Just that they had fully had enough of just being a band at the sort of popularity level at they were at that it was just getting too much

I mean, the post read 'they want to focus on different projects and pursue careers'. For me it looks like guys who loved music but wanted to have decent lives instead of poor, starving artist ones. Thanks, music industry.
Idk, I've been watching some videos of them being on stage (as they'd never come to my regions) and even in the recent ones it really looked like they enjoyed it a lot. So, im guessing money or internal problems they dont want to speak about

Not even remotely. Who told you that?
|

no one, just looked at the genre tags and the artwork.
|

Well no, it's nothing like that. It's a lot more mature.
