What a delightful feeling to hear this record! After considering for so much time this band dead, they resurrect with Hammer and then we have this. It took me like 6 spins in order to fully digest it, but it really pays the time invested. Wester Vespertine can officially be named one of the top 10 tracks of their discography... Sorry for the long comment, but it is the first one I make in ages.

In my opinion that title goes to Dusk and Her Embrace, followed closely by Cruelty and the Beast. Both 5's for me though...

Agreed! There's no way you like this and not liking Hammer or Midian, both of which are superb records in my opinion.

Nothing is below a 3.5 except for Manticore and Darkly for me, those ones suck. A few of their compilations/EPs are garbage too but not counting those obviously.
From the Cradle to Enslave and Bitter Suites to Succubi are great too.
