I mean that doesn’t sound quite right when you say basically anyone can write this. Just cause it’s not striking to you doesn’t mean it takes no effort with all do respect my dude. A lot of their stuff is very intricate and sophisticated and you haven’t heard a lot of it right?

Again I’m not saying anything about quality or even that “anyone can do it”; but I’m listening to that new single now and like most other stuff I’ve heard from them it doesn’t sound like anything that wouldn’t be too hard to put together for them given the resources and experience they have. I wouldn’t be surprised if they could pump out 50 such songs in a year all of roughly the same quality. I’m a firm believer that complexity =/= quality! :-)

That sounds true and all, but this seems like their main hobby and they are definitely experienced. It doesn’t sound like a lot of effort to “play and record,” but for all we know they really plan and think on what they write. Then again this is my favorite band atm so I have a bias xD
