I prefer his vocals on No Quarter on TSRtS over the studio one. I'll have to relisten to the former, but it's during a live show (don't remember what performance) that I came to appreciate more Plant. Live, he doesn't lose at all his habitual power and strenght that we find in studio. He's the same great singer live or in studio IMO.

South Bound is my least favorite, but even then it's pretty decent

Carouselambra, Fool In The Rain, All My Love, and In The Evening are all great songs. This album isn't bad at all, considering it's Zeppelin's worst if you don't count Coda.

Titan/Ars do remember you have this half a mark higher than me! (I'm sleepin' on it) time to start the Zepathon.. who's got the funky skunky?
I might have to start thinking about passing the torch soon to you folks
.. I can't do this shit forever y'know? Ha-ha, fuck me. I thought it was common knowledge that 'carouselambra' was the best joint here if you sat and listened to the damned thing outside the big radio hits.. Late 70's new wave, pop, and punk are about to gobble us all up..Titan you know what's comin' would Zep have made it through the 80s? lol
Page struggling with heroin, bonzo drinking his balls off, Plant's son dying two years before... Hello John Paul Jones.. thank you for your contributions.. Led Zeppelins secret weapon right there. I think if everyone here was on the same level it may have been cooler... little too much synth little too much keyboard.. for nothing to back it up, but I'm still impressed

Never hated this record; in fact it's grown on me over the years Ars. The problem is when you compare it to other Zeppelin you set yourself up. I do think if the band wasn't so fucked up at the time it would have been a better effort. When I think of Zeppelin this never really comes to mind and I dig it, but Hot Dog and South Bound are goofy as hell! Such a cheesy cheesy record in spade, I don't know. I like this mostly, but some parts annoy the piss outta me or I can sometimes bop to it? Lol, my least favorite is im gonna crawl.. just half baked tune.. overbearing or groovy? I see this as a nice jumping point if Zep could've followed the sound. Really really needed em detoxing here and if Bonzo didn't die who knows what we would have gotten next; back to riff based hard rock like page said? One can only wonder..

This is better than Presence

Nah presence is a lot more interesting and better. It also has tea for one which is one of their best songs
All my love is great though

I remember putting this on and being super confused by In the Evening cos the intro sounded like the one on In the Light and Plant's vocals reminded me a bit of Ozzy.
Not 100% guitar-dominated but still m/
