I'm hoping not to find that by the end of the year this piece of shit has become a diamond album, if so, I promise I'll kill myself.

I've lurked this site for a long time, and haven't ever had the desire to really comment, but your first line of this is just fucking stupid and unnecessary. First, it's public defender. Not public "defendant". The person "accused" of a crime is a "defendant". Second, there's a large amount of people who are accused of a crime that are innocent and still can't afford a lawyer. If you're trying to throw some sort of creative analogy in your review, at least know what you're talking about.

Lol I fixed that oversight about "defender" and not defendant, so thank you. As for the second part, nothing about what I said implies I think all poor people are guilty - I believe you're reading a bit too much into that. Not sure what warrants the attitude either but hey whatever floats your boat buddy.

| |
I meant just as the "accused" being guilty but you're still right, lol. Apologies. And I'm glad you reviewed the album, because I haven't really given them any effort since whatever-the-album-was-after-Meteora, and I was interested in seeing how they sound. Sounds like this isn't a bad place to start.

Lay awake in bed last night thinking about a sentence I'd typed here "I've never listened to pop trap".
Is there any non-pop trap? Honestly my only experience with trap is when I listened to the new Foster the People EP and someone described the beats as 'trap'. WTF is trap? Have I been listening to trap albums unwittingly? Is the new Kendrick Lamar album trap? That's the most mainstream hip hop album I've listened to in the last year.

"Trap music is a subgenre that originated during the 1990s from Southern hip hop in the Southern United States. It is typified by its ominous lyrics and sound that incorporate double or triple-time division hi-hats, heavy kick drums from a Roland TR-808 synthesizer, layered synthesizers, and "cinematic" strings
Sounds awesome

"Is there any non-pop trap?"
"Sign of the Times" is doing well in the Hot 100, not sure I would classify that as trap but it definitely qualifies as pop for me

Sign of the Times is not trap... Like at all. The song is basically the best Bowie worship I have ever heard
And why the hell was that $169? Was it like autographed or something?

Yeah how was that the price? Must have had some crazy special inclusions...autographs, rarities, etc.

I do enjoy it yes. My favorites right now are probably 'Halfway Right', 'Good Goodbye', and 'Heavy' in that order. But I didn't dislike a single song on here.
