We certainly differ when it comes to Spiritual Migration my man. It gets a bit overbearing at times and just kinda jumps randomly whenever I listen to it.

The atmosphere here is a lot more present--almost like Shin-Ken--which connects things more and makes it less directionless to me.

I'm gonna need to listen to this at least two more times because my first reaction is very very very very very positive

I've said many many times both those albums (especially poor Truth) are criminally underrated and under-loved.

Wait till you see my list coming up in a few days lol

I can definitely see where you're coming from. You like SK more than I do, so it's not surprising that this one appeals to you as well.

For anyone interested, definition I found:

"Sanskrit word that means inner self or soul. In Hindu philosophy, especially in the Vedanta school of Hinduism, Ātman is the first principle, the true self of an individual beyond identification with phenomena, the essence of an individual"

Nothing will top Spiritual Migration for me, which is the best album of all time IMO, but this album is awesome. Really damn good.

Now that you mention it, it certainly reminds me more of Shin-Ken than Spiritual in fundamental ways. They got less "metalcore" and more atmospheric since Spiritual but also more eclectic and less melodic. MarsKid, it's interesting you see this as having more direction than Spiritual, your view is making the albums direction sound better to me haha.

Only two listens through but, the second was much better than the first. No Faced Mindless is one of the densest songs I have probably ever heard. That one grew on me the most the second time.

Stillness and the massive title track are def the best.

I am really glad to be blessed with this band!

Alright, just finished my first listen and I have formed an initial opinion. I have to say that I didn't like it like I thought I would.
