I see. Gonna level with you guys that I’m not enough of a massive NERD (at least sci-fi wise) to understand these refs!
I understand your general point regardless tho tect

Note to self that once you get over the Mars Volta-esque (*yes, Miranda!) fuckery in Star Sailor, the concluding part of the album has Down By The Borderline and it’s a top 3 contender here
*kinda tenuous link, more of a personal “in spirit” comparison than anything stylistically, even tho I feel like you may as well have added ‘is it a bird, is it a whale’ noises to Star Sailor lol (altho honestly it’s not as distracting as it once was)

either way the middle ranking of this is becoming more difficult but a quick hitter has…
Siren, Come Here Woman, Down By The Borderline, Monterey, Moulin Rouge, I Woke Up, Jungle Fire, Healing Festival, Star Sailor
roughly… mostly everything is at least very good

Hmm nice ranking Demon. Would you maybe consider 5ing this? You know what Demon? Yes I would. I would maaaaybe move I Woke Up up and Come Here Woman down, but the margins are thinning at a remarkably rapid pace here.
Siren is still peak. Star Sailor still last (yet I don’t dislike it these days)
