Yak's 1 is forgivable as he is an authority on screamo, I trust his opinion. He definitely is not trying to trivialize depression lol if you know him at all

This album was a blast...quite literally in fact. I'm still relatively new to the screamo world but crap, more like this please

Only one I got off of my head (as I'm not versed in this genre either) in a user project called A City Sorrow Built.

Pretty similar. Both have screamo and post-rock elements.

Someone who was involved on a track was. Ben Reed.
He's now vocals for a great melodic death metal band In Dread Response.

Ahh okay I see. For a second I was like "damn, going from death metal to skrms is something you don't see everyday" lol

Even though they don't sound too similar, I'd recommend City of Caterpillar for the post-rock/screamo sound.

He supplied vox and lyrics for a track. Not sure how he got involved but he's a talented guy.

City of Caterpillar seems like something I'd want but I think their technicality really goes over my head sometimes. I like the melo shit

They're kinda similar, NewBall, no bigs.
Just finished this, not entirely sure how I feel about it. Some great moments. Spoken word bits don't seem cheesy to me and fit better than I had expected, fits best with A Letter for Zach, imo, just because it seems less like a recital and more in tune with the music. Like Blood From a Stone was a bit long winded before the music comes in, but pretty cool overall. However, I didn't like that I couldn't hear the poem much in the mix as the music built toward it's climax. Closer was good, kinda made me feel the album a bit more than I was going along.
