Can't help but feel like some of the positive reception to this album is due to this band lowering expectations so much over the past decade. Listened to a couple tunes off of this again, and enjoyed the renewed focus on instrumentation. Afterwards though, I threw on a couple of my old favorites like The Wicked End and Eternal Rest and man, the stuff on here just doesn't hold up.

its about 50% as good as Waking the Fallen though
vocals and production are both a problem
even though I don't like it much its still the best since CoE and seems more like a natural followup

S/T vocals are less nasal and a step up from COE but not on WtF levels. Also musically very uneven and kind of shitty album

the debut is at least kinda funny, the rest is just pretty bad

you guys are ironically giving this 4s and 3.5s right? I mean I've only heard The Stage, and it's a boring wankfest with the worst vocals ever, I don't get it

He's become a much worse version of Andy Biersack imo
