His vocals never bothered me tbh. Also Transgress is one of their best songs

This is pretty damn good. It took a lot of listens for it to grow on me. Guess the sound shift just caught me off guard, once I adjusted I really started enjoying it. Mike sounds about 10 times better than he has in quite awhile, maybe better than ever. His voice doesn't really sound strained any more. As the review says, his vocals were never terribly strong, even before they started to sound worn down. This somewhat more relaxed style suits him much better.

Lyrics on some songs are lame, as others have said, they almost derail "Worldwide" for me. But overall this is a big step up for them.

This is honestly the best they've ever sounded, and I'm a raging fanboy of Dead Throne and Zombie. This just takes it a step further than anything they have made up to this point

8:18 is actually my favorite, but it feels I'm in the minority in that one despite the 3.5 average

I liked 8:18 a lot actually. Transgress, Care More, Sailor's Prayer, Home For Grave, and War are all amazing songs. I just don't think that it packed as much of a punch that it could've

8:18 t/t is actually my favorite, I always think it could fit easily on the last two Underoath records

I had to listen to it again, but I can see why you say that and I agree. I'm a sucker for bands that can pull off an Underoath sound

I think this is better than 8:18, but if you liked 8:18 then you'll more than likely enjoy this

Zombie was badass though! Hopefully a little mix of both Zombie and 8:18 = Transit Blues
