As a fan of sum 41 I am truly let down by this album...

Derycks vocals are so weeeeeak and I only enjoyed 2 tracks off this album. It is so average and they could've done better.

Yeah this album was a failure. Deryck needs to take a few years off or just get a new lead singer entirely...

I just wanted Deryck to scream and sound more passionate. His vocals were so forced in half of this album. At least Dave shined throughout the songs. Without Dave I wouldn't even bother listening.

SpagettInvader you just wrote a few pages back that this album was a solid 4? Only for someone to question why you gave it a 3.5 and now I see you have it at a 3 and you're now saying you only enjoyed two tracks??? Boiiiiiiiiiiiii you wild.

Outstanding songs: "A Murder Of Crows (You're All Dead To Me)" "13 Voices" "Goddamn I'm Dead Again" "Fake My Own Death" "Breaking The Chain" "Twisted By Design".

Average Songs: "War" "There Will Be Blood" "The Fall & The Rise" "God Save Us All (Death To Pop)".

It's a good album anyways, although I expected something much better.

Saw them live and was pleasently surprised. Deryck put on a really vivid show and still sounded quite good. Also, Brownsound killed it on the guitar. So glad he's back, since he makes this band so much better. Whole performance in general was more metal than expected, which is a good thing. Brownsound even played some random metal riffs and for some reason they also performed a punkish cover of We Will Rock You lol

On the album: Not decided on the rating yet, but rather underwhelming. As mentioned, it's a huge enrichment having Brownsound back, since you can clearly hear out the metal. Problem is, while they managed to combine the metal and pop-punk elements pretty well on Chuck (my fav by them), here the pop-punk elements feel lackluster and totally unoriginal. Live even the songs from this one were kinda fun though. So I can at least recommend attending their gigs, since they play a lot of older stuff as well.

It's pretty fucking bad but a part of that probably has to do with me outgrowing this band tbh

As bad as this is, this is far from the worst thing they've ever done though
