The second half of this is way stronger than the first. Love me some The Hurt is Gone and I'm a Wrecking Ball. As much as I complained about Lift a Sail lacking energy, the best songs on here all seem to be the slow ones.

Thanks Quinn =)

Had a long 7 hour drive home from a road trip today and spun this 3 times. Every time, it was better than the last.

This is probably one of the best pop-punk releases in recent memory.

APWSA, wrecking ball and F&F are probably my favorites off of this. they all have a sort of southern touch to it that I find myself really appreciating. These guys a huge influence of mine, I'm sad to see them go; I'm glad the ended on such a high note.

As always, fantastic review sowing!

This album isn't even close to southern air. This album was so boring.

Loving this release and are pretty gutted that it's going to be the last album Yellowcard will release. Second review i've read of yours Sowing (the other one was Taking Back Sunday-Tidal Wave) and can say both reviews are amazing. This one had so much nostalgia and feeling to it i could relate to! Plus i really enjoyed Tidal Wave too.

Thanks Mutant, Graemie.

They definitely nailed the nostalgia factor here without being cheesy or disingenuous.

U should. It's hard to deny that some of that rating is nostalgic, but it's still a great record.

ehhh I'd actually argue that Lights and Sounds and Lift a Sail are their most ambitious strictly because they are more experimental

to me this is more vintage YC/a summation

Always dug paper walls more than lights and sounds personally. Still looking forward to hearing this, I would have aleady if the new Regina Spektor wasn't released on the same day ;/

I just got around to Regina today. Really solid stuff, gave it a preliminary 4 but need to listen more than once obviously and adjust accordingly.
