Yeah C++ and Two Summers are easily the weakest jams here.
Remove those and it's a flawless album...no seriously it is.

Fuck me, I've listened to the album for less than a day and Brightly Lit might be my favorite ETID track ever. Fucking goosebumps. Also, I agree about the second half being crazy good and the first being just good.
Keith keeping that lyricism razor sharp. That's one of this band's biggest selling points for me.

the amount of incredible riffs in brightly lit is insane
it's like they borrowed all the goodness out of c+ and two summers and packed it into one song

Yeah the pacing is similar.
The verse riffs are so fucking meaty, dude how is this band so consistent ;_;

C++ just began growing on me but if those two weren't on the record, I'd easily give this a 5. Man that riff in Map Change at 1:45 is so fucking good

I do have to ask this because you've seen them live but from youtube vids Keith doesn't sound that great live. It seems like he cups the mic a hell of lot which really distorts the voice pretty badly. Obviously youtube vs seeing it live is a whole different hearing and viewing experience but since you've seen them, how does he usually sound? I'd see them regardless just for riffs alone

I've seen them twice and he was great.
He can't hold the notes long at all tbh but in terms of his voice, he's close to record quality. The musicianship however is on another lvl, riffs are so fluid plus Jordan and Andy do some crazy stage antics.
Keith tends to go hard rarely compared to record, but it's undertandble considering how much he puts into each record.
Regardless, he throws down hard and gets the job done more than satisfactory m/

I'm honestly shocked that besides the Hot Damn enthusiasts, sput hasn't brought on the haters yet...
Keith slayed it when I saw them live in 2014. The whole band was epic. Best show I've ever been to hands down.

I honestly only dislike one ETID record (don't really count the debut) and that's Gutter Phenomenon. Something about that albums entire production really grates me to no end.

The production is thin as hell but the record jams hard regardless, some classic ETID cuts e.g. Bored Stiff, Champing at the Bit, Pretty Dirty m/

I liked Gutter Phenomenon but it was definitely a type of sound for them. Certainly nowhere near as good as Ex Lives or New Junk.
