idk dude, to me most of the bands playing this sound remind me of 90's emo (maybe screamo was a stretch) with "rly passionate screams". Whilst they do not sound carbon-copy like the older bands there is clearly an 'inspired-by' quality that many of them have.
Like if u made the production a touch dirtier and got rid of the screaming and put early Thursday off-key singing (before Geoff learnt how to sing lol) u would have a good tribute band.
