This was better than Restoring Force; more consistent, better dynamics, and a better vocal performance.

Look at all these butt hurt metalheads wishing a band to "go back to the way they used to be" back when they were young angry children making music. Some of you call this the worst album of the year? Find some since in that little short minded brain of yours. You people make me laugh.

they don't have to "go back to the way they used to be". they just have to write music that's not shitty. they failed in that department

"if this album came out in 2002/2003 the hate wouldn't be here"

Disagree hard. This is 2002/2003 metal minus the aspects that actually made that genre somewhat fun and endearing.

I'm actually looking forward to this album quite a bit. I like this sound they've adopted, so that could be a factor into why I have high hopes for it.

Gah just downloaded this and was gonna check it seeing as the last album got a good critical reception from most music outlets. Sounds like they've taken a serious mis-step in their transition away from metalcore though so may end up passing on it in the end.

What a fucking stinker. Them singles were fucking dreadful on first listens and even worse in the full album context.
