super fuckin bummed about that. they are ridiculous musicians and whatever instrumental stuff they make will be great but doug was a huge part of this album and i don't think they can make something nearly as good without him

the snippets sound gr8 but would much rather have something like this where the craziness comes in bursts, and with vocals. this was the last post hardcore band making music this good

They could do a thing like Strawberry Girls where just have a bunch of session vocalists.

Instrumental bands are unfortunately far more often really boring after a while.

While the instrumental stuff sounds cool and they're definitely all talented, especially Aric, I really enjoyed Doug a ton and don't know how this is gonna work out. I get the band's name is a marketing tool at this point, but starting a new band would honestly make more sense.

I'd be 100% ok with them getting a new singer and keeping the same name; they were playing under Night Verses as an instrumental band well before Doug stepped in

I agree that I'd be fine with a new singer. It's just why would I go see them live now as a fan of their previous stuff, since they most likely won't play it now since it was all based around a vocalist?

Without a vocalist these guys can pretty much go all out in writing without having to worry about arrangements to fit in vocals. I'm excited to see what they do with that.

Night Verses was my favorite living post-hardcore band. This blows so hard...I'm excited for rhe new stuff but way less so. Doug was a huge part of this band and a great punk vocalist. :/
