ehhhhh I never thought Brand New had the best closers tbh...Soco is prob my favorite closer of the 4 but Noro comes close

to me they're all amazing, seeing play crack the sky live was simply stunning
radiohead is def the other band that comes to mind, but honestly i'm not the biggest fan of the tourist, and a wolf at the door and videotape are solid but not on the level of the rest of their stuff. but tracks like street spirit, motion picture soundtrack, and life in a glasshouse are incredible for sure

noro and you stole are so... boring. like, they start out nice and sound quite beautiful, but both devolve into basic rock guitar outros that don't do shit. a far cry from the explosive guitar solo of limousine

"is there a band with a more consistent set of closers than brand new"
thrice though

i can see the argument for you stole, the second half is definitely worse than the first half. a few songs off of deja entendu do the same thing
and yes, considering limousine is my favorite brand new song i def agree with you on that lol
never really got into thrice : /

As far as endings are concerned, I don't see how anyone can deny BN's creds there. Soco Amaretto Lime is absolutely perfect, Play Crack the Sky is to this day one of the best acoustic tracks I've ever heard, and Noro is creepy as all hell. Handcuffs is the weakest closer they ever wrote but nobody complains because it's on an album deemed by most on this site as a stone cold classic.

Play Crack The Sky is a track that gets better every time I listen to it on an album that gets worse every time I listen to it, that's gotta count for something

"Play Crack The Sky is a track that gets better every time I listen to it on an album that gets worse every time I listen to it, that's gotta count for something"
this
well, that was always a top 5 Brand New track for me
but Deja sure as hell grows off a person

yeah radiohead's closers are consistently better over a longer slew of releases though noro is an amazing tune

I cant even think of most of radiohead's closers

Brand New aren't even comparable to Radiohead.

honestly, i hate to agree. deja used to be my favorite brand new album and every time i listen to it, i like it less and less. play crack the sky has not lost its luster at all, though
