Too right pal. I haven't seen much in the way of reviews or anything but the fact is this zips and zings along with an energy that is playful as fuck and is an overall better listen than since I left you. Love it.

I've only rated after two listens, I'll pick up a copy when I see a good deal, Since I Left You is decent but I don't go overboard with it - a solid 4/5

2 listens doof? You've usually got some idea while you're tearing off the cellophane wrapping.

I think since I left you is bloody overrated. Can't think off the top of me head what I've rated it but I'd be surprised if it's 3.5.

This is an easy 4.

this is probably the perfect summer album but I'm just buying old stuff right now, haven't bought a 2016 album since the Radiohead

I think 2016 is my fave year. Shock horror! :D

It just needs that one almighty first listen classic but I dunno where it's going to come from. Massive Attack? Doubt it.

i almost had a massive attack feeling when i first listened to this that was honestly my first thought, that it was like 2016 mezzanine but it does sort of drag a bit (not to discourage anyone from listening to it, just because it isn't mezzanine doesn't mean it isn't potential aoty stuff)

Nah. This isn't a groundshaker 'what the fucking hell is this?' album. It's a 'fucking hell this is a blinder' album.

I feel a first 5 of 2016 will emerge from either Massive Attack, Run the Jewels, Bon Iver or Cass McCombs

i'd be happy if massive attack is 4 material and would be shocked if it was better tbh

I'm looking forward to see what Frank Ocean does next but not anticipating a 5, think I have Channel Orange at a 3.5, there are about three or four classics on it

yeah i agree with that assessment of channel orange for sure, im optimistically hoping he has gone full perfectionist on this one to make sure the whole album lives up to the classic stuff he has out
