I appreciate some of the lyrical themes/sentiments expressed here, but unfortunately the execution is pretty heavy-handed, not to mention repetitive.

also I get the mainstream rock comparisons, but not like Three Days Grace or Nickelback or whatever. I can hear Foo Fighters and maybe to a lesser extent Seether, and I still stand by my earlier comparison to Down on the Upside-era Soundgarden.

Guess I'm just not digging the style. I liked the post-hardcore on Beggars and then the way they mixed that with a grunge sound on Major/Minor, but this one kind of does away with what I liked about them, minus like three tracks.

Post hardcore on Beggars? I've been listening to Beggars for two days straight and I dunno if that's the label on it. There's a lot more creativity on Beggars with the instrumentation. Listening to his lyrics, I realize they're a lot better than what's on TBETBN. There's also more creativity in the song structures. Beggars is very underrated.

Dustin sounds like Thom Yorke at times on Circles. Circles and Wood and Wire are probably their best mellow songs.

Ngl the chorus of wake up is just a sound that shouldnt be happening in 2016. Like its not horrible but it's bad by principle. Down with radio rock all hail dancehall

Of course, minimum 2500 comments or your opinion stemming from an otherwise unknown history of music appreciation is effectively rendered redundant. We measure legitimacy based on verbosity here.

I didn't realise these dudes were that cheesy - sure I listened to them before and they sounded nothing like this.

Nickelback, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon sitting in a tree.

well yeah they aren't nearly as successful at this style as those three bands but I felt they were almost up to that level
