Few listens and I almost completely agree with this review.

I think they absolutely nailed the production here, perfect blend of their sound overwash without being a complete brick wall. Which makes it all the more disappointing that this is the least interesting thing they've ever done compositionally/instrumentally.

This band is so pathetic compared to Mithras yet there are more ratings for each Falluja album than Mithras' whole discography.

The band begins to show obvious signs of creative stagnation.

Accurate summary.

Nah, man. It isn't even an argument that this whole album is pretty much TFP PT. II with better production and a few ill-advised and unsuccessful experiments dragging down the second half.

Eh I'm hearing more blatant prog influence on this one

What I believe you're hearing is just a better attempt at capturing prog through superior production. Better, but not successful. Really, the incorporation of their proggy parts still sounds noticeably weak compared to their counterparts which makes this as jarring as their last album but for different reasons, imo.

Solid effort! Les Silences does feel out of place with the rest of the record. I also believe that it's the longest track on the record. Everything else is pretty darn good though.

Production obviously better than the last album but the songwriting on the past album was miles better imo.

These guys put on a pretty decent live show (saw them opening for The Black Dahlia Murder), but this album kinda disappointed me.

I finally got around to listening to this, and I'm loving it.

Tons of Dream Theater and Cynic influence with a lot of the textures and melodies.
