Arche’s art has a blue hue which I thought was a nice change. It’s actually my favorite album art of theirs. DSS while black-ish at times had a forest green-ish hue at the root of it...and then there’s Kisou with its white hue and Gauze with its reddish/pinkish (IDK it’s in between the two IMO) hue.

I like this version of Arche's album cover more since it represents what the album better to me: http://japan-discoveries.com/images/album_dir%20en%20grey_arche%20first%20press%20limited%20edition_00..jpg

I can't decide on my fav cover, too many good ones.

That’s the one I usually associate the album with. I have the EU pressing with that art and I also have the Japanese deluxe one with the BluRay as well which has the “standard” version of the artwork. Pretty dumb reason for having two versions of it, but I got the EU one just for the “official” translated lyrics since that was the only way of getting it.

Yeah, I used to have both versions as well. I just have that Japanese Deluxe Edition now since I gave the regular edition to EvoHavok. I had to get the deluxe edition just for having that performance of Tsume on it.

That performance on there is one of my favorite performances of the remake actually. Kasumi’s as well (which might be an odd choice)...at least since remaking it for The Unravelling.

I always found them to be an issue in most of the Japanese metal I've heard tbh

You guys are better off listening to uroboros, dss and Archie a bunch before checking stuff prior. I used to hate Kyo's voice as well when o first started jamming these guys

There is a lot of Japanese metal with vocals done in different styles. Try Ningen-Isu, Gargoyle and Sigh.

Kyo is like a top 3 vocalist on everything after this.

He's my favourite vocalist but his approach definitely isn't for everyone.

Meh, their loss.

He's incredible and shouldn't even be able to perform anymore tbh, guys a machine.

@Evo I definitely second Sigh. It's a completely different vocal style, and Imaginary Sonicscape is one of the most fantastically wacky albums I've heard in my life.

Definitely the best of the "Western Transition" albums, but only just, in my opinion. Marrow is such a strong album, and is so much more cohesive, but the clear tonal shift here is almost like the band saying goodbye to the experimental/Visual Kei days.

Higekiha Mabuta wo Oroshita Yasashiki Utsu deserves all the love, beautiful track. Live rendition on Tour 08 The Rose Trims Again is perfection.

When I swing back around and get back into a DEG listening groove, all I want to hear is a live rendition of Kodou. Complete with false stop.

I'm always so mixed on this album. Don't get me wrong, it's a great record through and through, but I can't help but feel that while the highs on this thing are really freaking high, the rest doesn't grab me as hard as some of their earlier stuff and most of their later stuff.
