Anderson is one of the very best lyricists and certainly the best to have any kind of relation to "progressive" music.

@JamieTwort: sadly, I've never been able to get into Jethro Tull much. And despite how talented Ian Anderson is, he's the reason why. I'm not a big fan of his vocals, and I'm also not a big fan of how the flute integrates with the other instruments and the overall songwriting. Then again, I've admittedly never been the biggest prog-folk fan

Well Tull is Anderson so he would have to be the reason why. Anderson is probably my favourite vocalist tbh, he's such a natural and charismatic singer without ever going overboard. As for the flute, it's one of the lead instruments in a lot of Tull's music (often ahead of Barre's guitar) so if you're not that into his very distinctive playing style I could see that being a problem.
Tull has always been all about the song writing first and foremost, unlike all other prog bands, not that Tull should be considered a prog band overall seeing as they only have like 3 albums that can realistically be considered as such and 2 of them were essentially parodying the genre and taking the piss out of it. Although, having said that, I consider them/Anderson to be "progressive" in the truest sense of the word even if they don't often fit into the genre.

Album is okay though incredibly slight and fairly predictable. "Book" is nice. Three instrumentals, though? That's the one curve ball. Still, none are super exciting. The soft ones are too arpeggio driven with little melody. Verm is fun but still reminiscent of all his moody rockers as of late. "Happiness" is an embarrassing pop rock attempt. A kinda useless cover caps it off. This is basically an EP, so I'll rate it as such.
