that's very possible too

I'm still convinced Phil has like full control over the band now though

It's a shame because the band is so talented instrumentally. Oli and Jason are monsters, and now they constantly have to temper their skills for crap radio rock

This Darkened Heart >

Oli's guitar work really shines there, Phil's ego has overtaken any other band opinions.

had to bump my rating for this. nostalgia's a hell of a thing and I feel like this still holds up pretty well.

Phil is like that guy at the gym who doesn't ask when you're done shoulder pressing in the smith machine but instead he just stands uncomfortably close to you and stare you dead in the face until you leave.

Lmao sniff. Phil standing over the guitarists like, "That better not be a tdh riff I hear. This is going straight to K Rock."

Never listened to TDH but I like this album so maybe I should give it a shot.

It's much more new-wave Heavy Metal instead of this more accessible, metalcore-y sound. Less choruses and less cleans--in all honesty, less vocals in general--in place of more of Oli's delicious riffing.

"I Die in Degrees" accurately sums up the sound on that release I think and is one of the best cuts off it.
