i can't help but feel that this album sounds like the two main elements of this album were just kind of stacked on top of one another rather than written in a way that really compliments one another



some really cool ideas here but presented in a way that's all too familiar to bands like aosoth and deathspell omega, albeit in a more melodic way (which i appreciate)

yah, kind of had the same feeling; like, it's definitely not hastily done or just lazily put together at all, it's very good actually, it's just that it lacks that extra "oomph" to amp the impact using its influences and to make a sweeping record (although them choir vocals kinda do that to some extent tbh)

and with them grand vocals, production could have made this so much better, but I'm still not complaining, this is good! >:]

First 2-3 listening sessions this was a 4.5+, now after more listens, it's a solid 4, the album has come to stay.
