gary sounds like he's trying to do a really bad springsteen impression on the chorus and the melody already sounds like it's ripped from the last u2 record...not a good indicator for how wildness is gonna turn out

Loved Run off the previous album, and I loved this album. You may never want to hear THAT song again (which is actually a shame...familiarity truly does breed contempt), but for a brief time Snow Patrol was the biggest band in the world and this album captured their sound brilliantly. I found diminishing returns in their releases since, but this remains on rotation.

Don't think this is quite as good as Final Straw, but still a good one at that! I'm a big fan of Make This Go On Forever, feels nice and atmospheric, the chorus is great!

lmao ya i threw this and final straw on again a few weeks ago and my takes flipped on them. loved this in high school but find it a little hard to come back to outside of set fire to the third bar (still one of their best). make this go on forever also a highlight tho that song is lovely

Yeah that's a good one too! I was never really into these back in the day so it's all a bit fresh to me. I'm enjoying their material though, it's mostly aged well. Final Straw is fairly solid but this feels a little too harmless for the most part. Still think it holds up, mind.

i would probably only check the follow up and call it a day. more or less also a pretty safe album except its got this like colossal 10 minute multi parter closer which is dope



i prob wouldnt have given this band the time of day if i didnt jam them as a youngun so much but their highlights are songs i still genuinely really love, esp chocolate and grazed knees

Really enjoying A Hundred Million Suns! Still need to give it a few more spins before I can drop a proper verdict on it but The Lightning Strike is awesome. I actually prefer a lot of it over Eyes Open to be fair.
