yeah nobody in blackgaze rips off Slint-y stuff like these guys do and that's a bummer, it's such a more interesting style of post-rock than mogwai/EITS-worship like typical post-black.

nothing here feels gimmicky or filler either. the slint-style doesn't overstay its welcome, the tremz are still fucking icy, the bass is THICK, the drums are honestly bar-none. the experimental bits? :chefskiss
there's also something about his screams too..... like a step down from the banshee BDSM wail, but still just as piercing
