There's absolutely nothing sexist about yelling marry me at a show
Girls do the same thing to male musicians
Definitely just an example of people looking for a problem where there isn't one

will sputnik be a philosophical circle in 20 years?
anyway, about the sexism debate, toby driver shared this link today: https://instagram.com/perv_magnet/
might make it easier to understand why some actions seem extreme

it probably wasn't sexist but i think it's fair that she might take issue with somebody heckling for attention. better give them some attention that'll show 'em

who cares

For some reason, I think that this particular instance is being given more thought here than by the actual band members. Did not appear that super serious in the video to me.
"who cares"
Your mum, cunt.

I don't think it was that serious tbh. She probably just reached the end of her tether with adoring males who have no idea of the person she actually is. I reckon it's hard to form actual relationships with people when you become anywhere near famous like that as so many people use you for money and treat you different to normal people just cos you're known.
It's just frustration on the actions of people like that. I think that's why she said the 'person you don't know' bit. And yeah it is a tiny bit to do with feminism in my opinion. These people are talking/acting like she is there as sort of a performer/to look at/listen to her sing, rather than as a real person, and as a band that didn't really try super hard to get famous (like popstars) it must be fairly hard to adjust to that.

Didn't like any of the 3 songs I checked. Seems like they are just happy with redoing "the mother we share".
Review was a fine read though.
"gyro a white cis dude talking about what feminism should be lol "
Dayum Lucid. Dumbest thing I've ever read.

This would seem like pretty sensible summary of the situation.

I was addicted to TBOWYB after I first heard it. I've barely touched this album after my first listen. This might be closer to a 3 for me.
