King of Swords is fucking dope man
If All Goes Well is shite
Bitter Suite 4 and 5 are extremely boring as is Wait (one of the most generic cock rock songs I've heard all year)

I wouldn't call Wait "cock rock".

If All Goes Well is great, that bridge is killer :S I get where you're coming from with the other two though (with a different set of lyrics, Wait would bore me to pieces)

Wait is absolutely cock rock, also what's the big deal with Waves? did someone seriously call it one of the greatest songs ever before itt

I hope you do realize there's difference between "The Dear Hunter" and "Nickelback"

Waves is a totally gorgeous single and one of TDH's better songs, but it lacks the depth of a lot of their other stuff.

"I hope you do realize there's difference between "The Dear Hunter" and "Nickelback""
Don't be ridiculous.

Waves is pretty I'll give it that but it's fairly straightforward I don't get the hype. It's no Red Hands for sure
and Toondude, seriously, you need to work on your argumentative skills buddy

"Waves is pretty I'll give it that but it's fairly straightforward I don't get the hype. It's no Red Hands for sure"
It works so well because of how straightforward it is imo. It lacks the complexity of tracks like Red Hands, but it's effectively an emotional tour de force in gorgeous packaging that gets straight down to business, so I guess it works because of how direct it is. You've made me start comparing it with Red Hands now, and I'm honestly not sure which would come out on top atm (probs Red Hands in the long run).

Maybs I should rank all the Act songs just to see...

Probably not the fairest comparison tbh but still I wouldn't put it that far ahead of songs like, say Home or Whisper or an Escape which still had the directness but packed more of an emotional punch too. It does have appeal I just don't see the top 5 songs of this year thing that people are saying - tbh it's not even in my top 5 of this album

It slays Whisper and An Escape for me, but I get why you think it's overhyped (and maybe even agree just a little bit :P). What would your top 5 be?

At the End of the Earth
Is There Anybody Here?
Ouroborous
Abandon
King of Swords

I back At the End of the Earth and Is There Anybody Here? (and, to a degree, Abandon), but I don't get the love for Ouroborous :/
Incidentally, I just drew up a preliminary ranking; my top 15 has 7 Act II songs, 2 Act I, 4 Act III and just two from this...

yeah Ouroborous wasn't really the best closer for this.

It fits pretty well as a deliberate anticlimax, since the story ends with a twist that kinda undermines the events leading up to the would-be finale and leaves us hanging, bur grrr it's no Life and Death.

Ouroborous is so beautiful though damn y'all are underrating
Only two Act I songs rip :-( but otherwise good stuff
