While I do understand that it's unfair to continuously compare an artists output to his previous work, I do think it's fair to expect a certain level of quality. This was scattershot at best and I hope that after he dominates the world Abel can come back and write the album we've been waiting for.

There are flashes of the 'old' him. Can't see him going back to his signature sound, no way, making too much bank. He wants to be the next MJ or Prince, he isn't gonna do that bragging about how much coke he snorts while cumming on girls all while rolling thru a jag' with shooters in Toronto then flying round the world and bedding more bitches than we've had dinners, nah that's not what got him famous..nahhhhh. MASS APPEAL.

In theory yes criticizing an artist solely on the fact they are evolving is dumb yeah but not when they sell out and start making music to please the masses as opposed to making the soul-filled, real, layered, quality music you did before
