Resonate and Solace have been my favorites of late, but that melody that closes out Drown is fantastic.

the 1-2 punch of Burn and Tragedy is fucking lethal. What a combo. And holy shit this album is addicting. I've been playing it all summer.

Drown = best song here. The only one I don't really like is Choke. That breakdown is silly.

It's ridiculous yeah, but it brings the mosh hard. Also Choke is a sequel to Compass of sorts and Brendans lyrics over the Choke breakdown are a direct response to the lines in the similar one in Compass so it's fitting.

Plus if you play Compass directly after Choke it flows perfectly.

"the 1-2 punch of Burn and Tragedy is fucking lethal."
Agreed. Wish the rest of the album was as lethal as those two. I had said before this album came out that this may be their magnum opus, but I'm afraid I was sorely mistaken' when I said that.

i think it's held up pretty well, hard to say whether this or the difference... is better. i think i like counterparts more when they're melancholy and darker like this, but difference has a few gems that outdo a lot of this

It really does. I spun CWCU last week and decided it was immediately more attention grabbing than TWFU. There's not a ton that sticks out to me on this new album, aside from the aforementioned two tracks. Collapse's melodic break is fantastic as well, and the track as a whole is good, but I dunno if I'm into most of what's going on before it.

I had my doubts about this album but it grew on me real fast so I see where you guys are coming from. I pretty much love every track on here aside from Stillborn and Resonate(the most boring tracks). Still think TDBHAH tops this though.

Agreed. I believe 'Difference' is still their best work to date.

Personally, I believe this is the bands best work. They did a lot better crafting songs that flow really well. The only track that really doesn't do it for me on the record is Thread and Choke is obviously just a mosh song for the live setting.

At least Current created some conversation. Seems like everyone was done talking about this within a few weeks of it being released.

man i enjoy this band, but nothing ever stands out to me. all the songs bleed together on every album.
|

^Agreed. I much prefer to listen to these guys' songs in a mix, rather than the whole albums from start to finish.

Your opinion of it being their worst album isn't fact, dude. It's an opinion. I personally think it's more impressive and well-written than their newest. Listened to them both back-to-back and was drawn more to Current.
