I realized today "Useless Europeans" (oh what timing with that song title considering what's happening with Greece at the moment) sounds like Swans.

This album is pretty laughable! But I can't say I expected much more. First track is bangin'! Everything else lacks pretty bad.

I'm honestly scared to listen to this because I have a feeling it will be a gigantic waste of time. However, I am curious

I think it's really good, obviously not it's predecessor but if they're goning to do a comeback I'd rather they try this and do something different than try and pretend they're still who they were 17 years ago. Even with that said I think the vibe and attitude's still very 'Refusedy' even if it has a different sound, possibly even because of how different it is.

This is a solid rock album, some great riffs, vocals are fine, very enjoyable record from front to back.

Agreed, glad they didn't try to remake TSOPTC, but the songwriting on here just doesn't hold up at all.

I think people get too wrapped up in their expectations for an album, especially for bands coming off of extended hiatuses. This album won't revolutionize a genre, but it's a solid rock record and a fun listen.

I didn't really have expectations. Their last album was one of my all-time favorites, but I knew this wouldn't be comparable. So I'm not disappointed or anything because I was expecting a genre-pushing masterpiece; I just don't think the album is well-written or enjoyable, save for a couple tracks.

Besides they said in an interview upon being asked about how people will feel about the album they said word for word "fuck what people expect of us."

^I quoted that.

You actually really like this guest? Cool.

Def gonna check and I already know it's not gonna suck as hard as some are making out.

Uh, definitely yes. Give this album some time and the ratings will really creep up for it.

Can't believe how well Dennis channels his inner Gira on the closer. Best song on the album.
