I'm disappointed and confused about the standard of the review and the crude, unconvincingly manner in which he argued an opinion which (aside from the distinguishing factor of its negativity) is totally arbitrary.

Can we all calm down? Yes, it was a mediocre review but harping on about that won't accomplish anything.

review is fun to read but not that good tbh; you can feel an initial bias towering towards a hope of actually burying this band alive; the kind of personnal distaste the comment section was partly built for hosting

I don't think users should ever be discouraged from leaving negative feedback on a staff review. Sergei actually left some pretty thoughtful criticisms earlier on in the thread.

I agree that a standard is demanded from staff writters in particular but that doesn't make them perfect, they're still human beings and therefore will sometimes make mistakes/try other approaches/have some fun/deliver a lesser review compared to what they usually do; not to mention this is still an online music site/forum on the tangent between professional and community made so I personally warrant occasional fucking around (though we have emerituses for that).

No reason here for anyone to build widespread indigniation towards whatever imaginary powers we believe the staff to unresponsably behold

If all reviews met the standards of your proposed obnoxious professionalism, reading them would become boring very quickly. Especially negative reviews
