Clean vocals sound interesting tbh. Why not. I've always been able to enjoy jamming VOM while driving around or something but never enough to really get into an album in particular.

judging by your taste, youll probably like the instrumentals, but if you think Spencer sounds 'gay' you might not love this guy's cleans all too much, his harsh vox are alright though

I don't doubt there are issues with how artists get paid through Spotify, but realize that artists get huge publicity through these types of services. That boosts fan engagement in areas that make the real money (concerts and apparel). Also realize the publisher does a lot of work in advertising and setting up deals for the artist. If the artist wanted complete control then they would start their own companies, but clearly that wouldn't work well since artists aren't as good with logistics as actual publishing companies.
I read recently, think it was an article on reddit, that spotify is already a net positive overall for the music industry compared to if it were still just CDs + pirating. You can't escape pirating, and spotify is THE answer to keep the music industry afloat.

Not a bad album by any means. Nothing really new is being done and that isn't necessarily that bad but it's just a bummer that some of the really cool sounds they used to do are gone.

3.75. If this album were as strong as the singles, it'd be a 4 imho. Although I really enjoyed the different soundscapes, I think that something was missing, I just don't know what.

"Common Man's Collapse with the vocal stylings of Periphery. I actually find the melodies on this catchier than Spencer's though. ymmv."
When I first heard this I honestly thought it was Periphery. Less experimental, and much more cohesive musically, but still Periphery. I'm not a big djent fan. That being said, this is a pretty good, and definitely catchy album - hoping it will get better with more listens.

Not checking out tbh. I'm so used to listening to actually good chugcore like assemble the chariots, ovdi etc, so I'd probably not consider it any good
